The Musical Theater Center (MTC) is a distinctive school that provides comprehensive training in all aspects of musical theater under one roof. Our dedicated faculty, each holding fine arts degrees in their respective fields, share a deep passion for nurturing young talent. Our instructors specialize in a variety of dance styles, including ballet, jazz, and tap, along with professional actors experienced in youth theater, audition coaching, and character development. Additionally, our vocal teachers possess advanced degrees in pedagogy, composition, and choral performance, ensuring that every student benefits from a rich and diverse education in performance.

Located in Mount Pleasant, MTC features three state-of-the-art performance studios spanning. Our two dance studios are equipped with O’mara sprung floors for optimal safety during training. The third rehearsal studio also serves as a black box theater, accommodating over 120 guests for workshop performances and productions by our student Troupes.

At MTC, we foster a supportive environment that empowers young performers. The performing arts have the incredible ability to enhance self-esteem, stage presence, public speaking skills, and self-discipline. In a competitive field, we emphasize hard work toward personal goals while cultivating a team spirit that encourages students to support one another and celebrate each other's successes.

Our curriculum offers a wide range of study options. Students can enroll in weekly introductory classes in musical theater or specialized mediums like dance, acting, or voice. We also provide 8-week Actor’s Workshops, where students explore a play and perform on our black box stage. For those looking to immerse themselves in our conservatory, we offer multiple levels of Performance Troupes for students from kindergarten through high school, with 2 to 6 classes per week depending on age and skill level. These Troupes perform full-length theater productions. Additionally, we offer summer camps, private coaching, and audition preparation to further support our students’ artistic journeys.
